National Council of Churches--A leftist Group of Individual Denominations

I’m often asked why I don’t participate in ecumenical meetings with churches of other denominations. The following churches are members of the National Council of Churches (NCC). Their liberal political agenda is a reflection of their theological understanding of Scripture. The rare exception to this group is that the American Conference of Catholic Bishops strongly opposes abortion.

I cannot and will not participate with those churches which are a part of these communions. While the members of some of the local assemblies are extremely conservative they too, contribute numerically and financially to the national strength of these organizations, thereby giving them a greater voice in national affairs.

A recent move by the NCC has been to partner with the National Hispanic Media Coalition, which filed a petition in January demanding that the FCC collect data, seek public comment and "explore options" for combating "hate speech" from staunch critics of illegal immigration.

They call “hate speech” any attempt to criticize the “open borders” philosophy they espouse. Branding such as “hate speech would criminalize those who disagree with them.

Friends in Christ is nothing less than an attempt to silence those who disagree with the leftist policies and aims of these churchmen who quite often completely deny the authority of Scripture and believe that social activism is the path to right standing with God.

I would encourage you to refuse to support any of the following entities by your finances or your membership. Your participation emboldens them as they seemingly seek to destroy the country God has given.

As members of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and its Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and the global Orthodox family of churches, in cooperation with the WCC and the NCCC/USA, we thank you for not only expressing your choice to leave our sacred company, but also professing the darkness of your heart so readily.

With joyous hearts, we encourage those of your ilk, those unwilling to live in reality and in God's unlimited mercy and grace, to follow you and remain in the periphery of humanity. Your absence makes our mission of the Gospel so much easier.

Again, we greatly appreciate your initiative to assist us cleanse our churches and the NCCC/USA of misanthropes, or perhaps in this case, those diseased like yourself suffering from Pharisaic Delusional Disorder.

With gratitude for tens of millions,

+Priests of the Orthodox Church

Best part, Anonymous, today our most honourable President Barack Obama signed into law the "Hate Crimes Bill," when the President said: "You understood that we must stand against crimes that are meant not only to break bones, but to break spirits — not only to inflict harm, but to instill fear." Seems the NCC is flushing out that good-ol-boys bigotry. My wife and I are hardcore, old fashioned Anglicans, so are our girls, their husbands and our 55 grandkids. Eventually hate-speech will be outlawed also. This makes our Christian churches more Christlike, and makes my grandkids futures safer. I am sorry for people like Pastor Mike, but like segregation in the South, federal law will set the way. The NCC is just doing what is lawful and given by the Constitution: Freedom.

Mike,
Your comments leave me wondering if you participated in any formal and accredited, graduate or post-graduate study of Christianity or religion. My authentic response for your comments is that I will pray for you. I'll pray that God is actually as merciful as we all believe. As an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) I know I have been the object of many prayers from persons of your religious and political worldview. Thus, it seems wise to return the favor.

Well, I don't have a Ph.D.; but I do have enough formal education for one. Should one suppose that formal education makes one believe in the abomination of Ecumenicism, and liberal social policy?

If so, perhaps the proliferation of Home Schooling will escalate.

Sir please try also to see the good part that NCC does.
Don't just down -size them.
Visit them or enquire with them.
Keep your doubts clear.
Don't just say something and become a Mr. Righteous.
If you are outward (like how NCC is), go ask them.
Why do you pollute NCC in this Blog?.

Remember ,just as Bible has authority and sacredness, even the Body of Christ has it too.
Don't forget that.

- A sinner.

Sir,
I've spent forty plus years studying Scripture and I choose to be persuaded by Biblical principles, the NCC seems to be guided by humanistic principles set against a synthetic Biblical background.

I see very little philosophical agreement with genuine Biblical Christianity.
